The Business Society Youth Club of the American University of Phnom Penh (AUPP) has announced the launch of its upcoming “Youth and Business Summit 2025”, an event designed to empower Cambodian youth through entrepreneurship, innovation and local business development.
The summit will take place on November 21, at the AUPP Tech Center, and will be open to the public free of charge.
“Founded to inspire and unite young people with interests in business, the Business Society Youth Club aims to help students gain valuable experience, exchange knowledge and build perspectives that align with Cambodia’s long-term economic ambitions,” explained the organisers.
The club emphasised its commitment to contributing to national development, in line with the Royal Government’s strategic direction.
In announcing the event, the organisation highlighted Cambodia’s history of resilience and the need for youth to transform present-day challenges — particularly social tensions and regional disputes — into constructive opportunities.
According to the group, recent issues, including dissatisfaction tied to the Cambodia-Thailand border conflict, have stirred renewed patriotism among young people and reinforced the importance of unity, skill-building and national pride.
Themed “Turning Crisis into Opportunities: Shaping Cambodianess and Empowering Youth Through Local Business”, the 2025 summit aims to encourage youth to channel national sentiment into productive action.
The event will feature discussions on entrepreneurship, innovation and the skills needed to thrive in evolving economic conditions. Organisers hope to equip young Cambodians with the mindset to create business opportunities that support both personal growth and national progress.
The summit will gather entrepreneurs, emerging businesses, students and the wider public. Activities will include a student exhibition starting at 9am, followed by the main summit and panel discussions from 1.30pm to 5pm.
The Business Society Youth Club emphasised the importance of unity in moving the nation forward.
“Only in unity are we strong,” the team shared, expressing optimism that the programme will promote Khmer identity while fostering collaboration across generations of Cambodian talent.
