ISI Dangkor Senchey club president Kang Sen has expressed some despair and uncertainty about how to continue leading the team after the “Elephants of Victory” suffered their third consecutive, and heaviest by far, loss in the 2025–2026 Cambodian Premier League season.
The most recent was their most painful, when the team were thrashed 8–0 away by Angkor Tiger on September 13. The collapse followed a 2–1 loss to Kirivong Sok Senchey on August 9 and a 3–0 home defeat to NagaWorld on August 23.
Sen took to social media on Monday, September 15 to react to the string of losses.
“After three straight defeats, especially the latest one with an 8–0 scoreline against Angkor Tiger, I was left watching from the stands with no hope and no idea how to continue leading the club forward,” he admitted.
However, he shared that the loyal support and unrelenting chants of encouragement from the ISI Dangkor Senchey fans gave him the strength to persevere. He said their devotion inspired him to push past the pain and fight on.

“In this most difficult moment, I heard the voices of 30 Elephants of Victory fans cheering for 90 minutes straight. That gave me courage and determination to rebuild the team, drawing strength from the love and loyalty of our fans. It is this love that I will use as the foundation for ISI to fight on,” he said.
This season, the club registered seven foreign players, six of whom were eligible for selection, while East Timorese forward John Fith was sidelined with injury. The increased spending on foreign players reflected Kang Sen’s ambition to compete for silverware this season, even though the club finished only 7th last year.
Yet in the first three matches, only four foreign players have actually featured: Brazilian forwards Ernandes Da Silva Lemos Bruno and Silva Gabriel Henrique, Portuguese defender Carneiro Rodriguse Joao Miguel, and Japanese midfielder and captain Onda Sonosuke. Nigerian forward Nehemiah Emmanuel Chinonso and Sierra Leonean midfielder Samura Umaru have yet to appear, weakening the squad and contributing to the poor results.
Looking ahead, Kang Sen remained hopeful.
“We can’t lose any worse than 8–0. The next match will bring something interesting — please stay tuned,” he said.
