Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng head coach Matthew McConkey was unsatisfied with his side’s 2-0 away win over Visakha, insisting the result should have been 6-0. Meanwhile, Angkor Tiger demolished ISI Dangkor Senchey 8-0 to set a new club record on home soil.
In the match at Prince Stadium on Sunday night, Svay Rieng defeated Visakha 2-0 thanks to goals from Japanese midfielder Odawara Takashi in the 67th minute and striker Peprah Kwame in stoppage time (90+2).
Despite the victory, McConkey remained dissatisfied.
“Every time we come to play at Prince Stadium, it’s never easy. That’s why in preparing for this game against Visakha, we focused on controlling the match. We created many chances. The scoreline says 2-0, but really, it should have been 6-0,” suggested the hard-driving Northern Irishman.
“When we didn’t have the ball, we worked hard and gave them no real chances. Their two or three opportunities only came from our mistakes. Looking at the finer details, we did very well, so I hope the fans are happy with this performance,” he conceded.

The 2-0 win means Svay Rieng have maintained a perfect record with four wins from four matches, 12 points, and not a single goal conceded in the 2025–26 Cambodian Premier League season. In contrast, Visakha have collected only 4 points from their opening four games, with one win, one draw, and two defeats.
The poor run has put pressure on Visakha coach Gerard Jones.
“This is not the result we wanted. We couldn’t execute our game plan properly, even though at times we controlled the play and had opportunities to counterattack and score,” he said.
On Sunday, Phnom Penh Crown staged a remarkable comeback. After trailing hosts Life Sihanoukville 3-1 at halftime, they roared back to win 4-3 in dramatic fashion. Striker Maksym Priadun netted a hat-trick, while Dyer Moses John added the decisive fourth in the 81st minute. The win marked Crown’s first victory of the season, following two draws.
Elsewhere, the National Defence team drew 1-1 away at Boeung Ket, keeping their unbeaten streak alive with one win and three draws so far this season.

On Saturday, MOI Kampong Dewa fought back to beat NagaWorld 2-1 away, while Angkor Tiger thrashed ISI Dangkor Senchey 8-0 to climb to second place with 9 points.
Angkor Tiger hailed the victory as a historic milestone, posting on their official Facebook page on Monday.
“Last night’s 8-0 win is the highest-scoring match in our club’s history,” the proudly announced.
