Cambodian Living Arts (CLA) is set to celebrate the country’s vibrant arts scene with the 2025 Annual Amatak Awards, taking place on December 4 at Raintree Cambodia, from 6pm to 8pm.

Now in its fourth edition, the event will highlight the achievements of this year’s scholarship and grant recipients, showcasing Cambodia’s creative talent across multiple disciplines.

“The Amatak Awards have become a key platform for recognising the dedication and innovation of Cambodian artists and cultural practitioners,” according to organisers.

The celebration brings together CLA beneficiaries, civil society partners, supporters and members of the broader arts community to honour those shaping the nation’s cultural landscape.

Yon Sokhorn, program director at CLA, emphasized the significance of the awards, stating, “The Amatak Award is more than a celebration — it honours the creativity, dedication and resilience of Cambodia’s artists and cultural workers.”

“This year, the participation of our CSO partners also emphasises the importance of building stronger links between the arts and civil society, encouraging mutual understanding and collaboration to create greater synergy, especially in the face of global challenges and uncertainties,” he added.

During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to experience excerpts from new and creative works supported by CLA’s grants programmes, including mobility grants, project-based grants, scholarships and support for innovative artistic creations.

The showcase highlights how CLA continues to nurture Cambodia’s artistic community while strengthening the country’s cultural presence both nationally and internationally.

The 2025 Amatak Awards underscore CLA’s ongoing commitment to sustaining a thriving arts sector, providing recognition, resources and opportunities for the country’s artists to flourish amid evolving social and global contexts.
