Cambodia’s only independent art market returns to Phnom Penh this month, bringing together artists, makers and the creative community for its sixth edition. Phsar Art will take place from November 15-16 at Stable in Toul Kork, with free admission both days from 10am to 6pm.
Since launching in 2017, the fair has grown into a vital platform for Cambodia’s independent creative scene. Founded by NOWHERE Art Studio’s Ajin and Lolli, it has evolved from a grassroots initiative into a space that connects emerging and established artists while building regional ties. This year’s edition brings together 40 vendors and over 70 artists, collaborators and students.
“We’re not here to chase numbers; we’re here to build meaningful connections and nurture a creative community that’s full of fresh energy and heart,” says Ajin, reflecting the market’s continued focus on community over commerce.
The two-day event will showcase contemporary designs, bold illustrations and experimental artworks, all at affordable prices. Beyond the vendor stalls, visitors can expect projection mapping showcases, workshops, talks, exhibitions and performances throughout the raw, industrial space of Stable.
Phsar Art‘s impact has extended beyond the Kingdom’s borders in recent years. The initiative led a group of Cambodian illustrators to the KL Illustration Fair 2025 and curated a showcase at TapauFest in Malaysia, expanding its regional presence and bringing Southeast Asian artistic voices into broader conversation.
According to Ajin, the market’s objective remains focussed on nurturing a stronger creative ecosystem by encouraging exchange, visibility and economic opportunity for artists. What began as a way to support independent artists and bring contemporary creativity closer to the public has become a cultural hub celebrating bold creative voices.
Whether you’re an artist, collector or simply curious about Cambodia’s evolving art scene, the gathering offers a chance to explore, connect and discover original works in an energetic, collaborative atmosphere. The event is open to all ages and welcomes families.
Phsar Art ’25 is curated by NOWHERE Art Studio and supported by NagaWorld, Kilat and Stable.
