Japan will send heavy demining equipment to Ukraine this week, as a part of its humanitarian assistance to the war-torn European nation. Phnom Penh authorities continue to enhance security at rental homes by requiring landlords to submit tenant profiles to local authorities, along with other cooperative measures. On July 3, Chamkarmon district police, in collaboration with the Tonle Bassac joint command, conducted inspections of 13 rental houses in Group 40, Village 8. Siem Reap province’s Angkor Hospital for Children (AHC), a non-profit organisation, is planning a fun cycling event to promote the environment and children’s health. A 66-year-old man was killed when an anti-tank mine exploded near Trapeang Romseng village and commune, in Tbong Khmum’s Ponhea Krek district on July 1. In a separate case, a demining officer was grievously wounded when an artillery shell detonated in the same province on June 29.
