King Norodom Sihamoni on October 14 issued a Royal Decree to officially appoint Dith Tina as Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, at the request of Prime Minister Hun Sen.

The appointment came on the same day that the 111 members of the National Assembly who were in attendance unanimously approved a vote of confidence in his appointment.

“I have appointed Dith Tina as Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.

“Prime Minister Hun Sen is in charge of enforcing this Royal Decree,” said the king, in his royal decree.

Since 2009, Tina has been employed in the civil service. He was an undersecretary of state at the Ministry of Commerce before being promoted to secretary of state in 2013. Since 2014, he has held the role of secretary of state at the Ministry of Mines and Energy.
