Hudl, a global sports analysis institution that supports more than 320,000 teams worldwide, will contribute to enhancing the development of Cambodian football following its partnership agreement with the Cambodian Premier League (CPL).
The official announcement of the agreement between the two organisations was made by CPL — Cambodia’s leading professional football league company — this morning, September 16. The five-year collaboration focuses on the CPL championship and the Cambodian Super Cup.
Under the partnership, Hudl will gain access to video footage and related data from CPL and Super Cup matches. These materials will be processed for professional football development through Wyscout, the world’s largest football database platform.
Speaking via the CPL, Hudl’s senior rights acquisition analyst, Jose Gallart, said: “Our commitment is to assist coaches, players and all staff with cutting-edge analysis tools. We can further expand and strengthen our expertise by bringing it into the Cambodian football market through this exclusive cooperation with the Cambodian Premier League.”
He added that Hudl has supported around 325,000 sports teams worldwide to help them reach their desired potential, working with coaches, athletes and managers at every level. Hudl provides tools that improve match performance, streamline operations, boost player recruitment and increase fan engagement.
Gallart explained that Hudl’s smart cameras capture every second of player action and full matches, which creates a positive impact for reviewing games, scouting and recruiting new players, and many other professional demands.
“Our trusted platform delivers data and analysis on match videos to help players and teams maximise their potential, while also strengthening their connection with fans through live broadcasts, player highlights, ticketing and all the information supporters care about,” he noted.
Peter Koo, CPL general manager, also lauded the new partnership.
“With our ambition to become one of the most competitive leagues in Southeast Asia, innovation is one of the pillars we are focusing on. We are confident that partnering with Hudl to utilize Wyscout’s advanced technology will play a vital role in providing clubs and the CPL with the tools to analyze team and player performance,” he said.
The CPL, supported by the Football Federation of Cambodia (FFC), is Cambodia’s top professional football league. Its vision is to become a competitive and leading league in Southeast Asia. Currently, CPL is working closely with 11 professional clubs nationwide in the 2025/26 Cambodian Premier League season.
In 2025, CPL also launched a new initiative: the Cambodian Development League (CDL), aimed at giving opportunities to players who rarely feature in CPL championship matches, as well as those under 22 years old. CDL provides a platform for them to showcase their abilities, while also offering players under 18 chances to test themselves against senior squads, thereby strengthening and developing their skills further.
The CDL focuses on players under 22, encouraging stronger competition to prepare them for upcoming SEA Games football tournaments. It also creates additional jobs for match officials of all levels, helping them gain fresh experience.
“The Cambodian Premier League is committed to building a solid foundation for the next generation of Cambodian footballers, as well as the future of Cambodian football itself,” added Koo.
