The Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) has reported on the progress of today’s high school diploma examinations, describing the situation in exam centres as “100% good”. The unit has deployed more than 4,000 officials and volunteer observers nationwide to monitor the Grade 12 exams.
According to an ACU report, conditions outside and around exam centres — such as compliance with restricted business activities, cordoned-off areas, law enforcement patrols, prevention of gatherings at the school gates, vehicle drop-off arrangements and traffic flow — were assessed as 99.24% good, with only about 0.76% minor issues. These mainly involved parents or guardians gathering near the perimeter fences of exam centres to wait for students. However, security forces were present to maintain order.

Regarding entry and exit points, including security checks on candidates at exam gates, the report assessed conditions as 99.59% good, with only 0.41% minor issues.
Some parents were noted driving their children directly into the exam compound before the written session began, without passing through the designated security check. This was reported at Kampong Speu High School and Santipheap Primary School in Kampong Speu Province.
“The situation inside exam centres was 100% good, with no issues observed. Examination rooms — including candidate identity checks, seating arrangements, exam room environment and formula postings inside the rooms — were 100% good, with no issues,” the ACU noted.
The ACU reported that among the 146,720 registered candidates, a total of 1,751 were absent.

During the morning session of the opening exam day, social science stream candidates sat for Geography and Environmental Studies in the first hour, and History in the second hour.
