Metfone, in collaboration with the National Blood Transfusion Center of Cambodia, successfully organised an October 18 voluntary blood donation event titled “One Drop of Blood – Millions of Hearts 2025”.
The event attracted the enthusiastic participation of a large number of Metfone staff, partners, customers and local residents, contributing to the Kingdom’s precious blood supply for emergency care and treatment of patients across the country.
The event, which ran from 8am to 11.30am at the first-floor lobby of Metfone’s headquarters, aimed to help address an urgent blood shortage in Cambodia and promote a spirit of compassion within the community. From the very beginning, the event received strong support from Metfone employees and partners. Many volunteers signed up early to donate blood, demonstrating a high sense of sharing and social responsibility.
Ahead of the event, Mr. Nhong Dinthan, a Metfone representative, explained the significance of the blood drive.
“Voluntary blood donation is a part of Metfone’s sustainable development strategy. We are not only a telecommunications provider, but a community-driven enterprise that always supports humanitarian initiatives. Every drop of blood donated today carries a message of love and a commitment from Metfone to the health and future of the Cambodian people,” he said.
During the event, many Cambodian Metfone employees shared their heartfelt emotions after donating blood.
“I feel very proud to contribute in a small way to help those in urgent need of blood to sustain life. This is not only a humanitarian gesture but also an opportunity for each of us to demonstrate solidarity – a value that Metfone always upholds,” noted Mr. Chea Huot, from the Marketing Department.
These simple yet sincere reflections helped spread the humanistic spirit of the programme, reinforcing Metfone’s image not only as a leading telecommunications enterprise but also as a symbol of unity and social responsibility in Cambodia.
The “One Drop of Blood – Millions of Hearts 2025” event concluded in a warm atmosphere, filled with positive energy. Every drop of blood donated became a bridge of love, a testament to the spirit of “Metfone for the community – for a healthier, happier Cambodia”.
