The Pacific Asia Travel Association Cambodia Chapter (PATA Cambodia) and Cambodia-based French tech consultants Sourceamax Asia Co., Ltd. have announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU), marking the beginning of a strategic collaboration to support Cambodia’s destination marketing efforts and contribute to digital transformation initiatives within the tourism sector.
The MoU was formally signed on February 6 at the Sourceamax Asia office, by PATA Cambodia chair Thourn Sinan and Bruno Raffet, president of Sourceamax Asia Co., Ltd.
The agreement establishes a high-level, non-exclusive framework for cooperation, under which both organisations will explore ways to support Cambodia’s tourism promotion, international market outreach and responsible digital advancement, in alignment with PATA Cambodia Chapter’s ongoing destination marketing initiatives.
A particular emphasis of this collaboration is to help enhance Cambodia’s visibility in long-haul markets, especially Europe, where Sourceamax Asia brings international experience and professional networks, notably a strong presence in France. The partnership reflects a shared interest in supporting Cambodia’s tourism recovery and strengthening its long-term competitiveness as a global destination.
“PATA Cambodia Chapter values constructive partnerships with international organisations that share our commitment to promoting Cambodia responsibly. This MOU provides a positive framework to support our destination marketing efforts and to explore how digital innovation can contribute to Cambodia’s tourism development in a sustainable manner,” Sinan said.
“We are pleased to formalise this cooperation. Cambodia has strong tourism and cultural potential, and through this partnership we look forward to supporting initiatives that enhance destination visibility and encourage meaningful engagement with international markets, particularly in Europe,” added Raffet, whose company specialise in digital design, consulting, development, hosting and maintenance.
Any specific activities or projects arising from this cooperation will be subject to further discussion and, where appropriate, separate agreements between the parties.
The partnership comes at a time when Cambodia continues to strengthen its engagement with international tourism markets, with increasing focus on quality growth, market diversification and digital readiness.
