Singapore Airlines (SIA) is enhancing its presence in Cambodia’s vibrant aviation market, operating from the newly opened Techo International Airport (KTI), as well as Siem Reap’s Angkor International, and remains steadfast in growing the Kingdom’s aviation industry, in an ecofriendly way which reflects its corporate social responsibility.

SIA continues to strengthen its commitment to delivering world-class travel experiences in this growing aviation hub, with its 33 years of service in Cambodia, starting with Silk Air, and coinciding with 60 years of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Cambodia.

The airline is currently flying from Cambodia to Singapore five times a day, three times from Phnom Penh and two times from Siem Reap. At Techo International Airport, both narrow-body and wide-body aircraft are available, giving passengers different experience, according to Berlinda Yong, General Manager of Singapore Airlines in Cambodia.

At KTI, a state-of-the-art facility which features traditional Khmer architecture with modern infrastructure which has transformed Cambodia’s aviation landscape to new heights, SIA’s operations enable travellers to enjoy connectivity through its Singapore hub to 125 global destinations, including Europe, Australia, Japan and the US.

As passengers at KTI benefit from an elevated travel experience, with smart gates and advanced facilities, complementing SIA’s industry-leading service. The airline’s cabin crew, awarded the World’s Best by Skytrax in 2025, deliver their signature hospitality, enhanced by AI-driven personalisation for a tailored journey. On selected Phnom Penh-Singapore routes, SIA’s Airbus A350-900 aircraft offer lie-flat Business Class seats, ergonomically designed Economy Class seats, curated in-flight dining and unlimited free Wi-Fi.

Yong explained that the SIA Group’s commitment extends beyond passenger services. She noted that in February 2025, SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC) partnered with Cambodia Airport Investment Co. Ltd to establish dedicated line maintenance services at KTI, supporting the growth of both passenger and cargo aviation.

She added that in November last year, a S$1.1 billion investment was announced to further enhance SIA’s premium offerings with next-generation cabin products across 41 Airbus A350-900 aircraft.

KTI is capable of handling 15 million passengers per year, with this figure projected to rise to 30 million and 50 million in 2030 and 2050 respectively. As Cambodia’s aviation sector continues to flourish, SIA remains a key partner, delivering unparalleled service, connectivity and innovation.

Yong stated that the airline prides itself on corporate social responsibility. SIA is partnering with an organisation that serves the Kingdom’s underprivileged children. The company employs meal packaging that is eco-friendly, including reducing the use of one-time use plastics.

When asked where SIA sees itself in the next five years, Yong said SIA hopes to be able to deliver new products and services into this market, driven by the excellent facilities at KTI. She noted that excellent quality of service must be ensured, and high standards maintained, by working with airport partners.

“We would like to say a very big thank to all our strong and fervent supporters in Cambodia. To Cambodians, we are also very happy and honoured to be here to be able to celebrate the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Cambodia. As a Singaporean myself, I’ve also experienced a very warm Khmer hospitality throughout my time here,” said Yong.

“I’m sure that tourists from Singapore and from around the world will also say the same thing about Cambodia. So, we hope that more tourists will be able to experience for themselves the rich culture history that Cambodia has to offer,” she added.
