The number of civilians killed by Thai attacks has risen to 12 after another citizen was killed on December 14, and the number of injured has reached at least 75, including 15 new injuries as of 6pm. Concurrently, the number of displaced peoples has increased to over 400,000.
According to the Ministry of Interior, approximately 208,000 of the refugees are women and about 96,000 are children.
From December 7 to 14, Thai attacks have destroyed 36 civilian homes, 1 school, 4 ancient temples, 1 charity hall, 1 monastery in a pagoda, 1 customs and excise office building, 4 casino buildings, 3 hotels, 2 other buildings, 1 community agricultural center, 1 stone bridge, 1 steel bridge, 1 bridgehead, 1 gas station, 5 vehicles and 1 potato purchasing warehouse, as well as numerous other properties and materials.
Furthermore, basic services such as administrative, healthcare and educational services in the affected towns, districts, communes and vilages have been almost entirely suspended due to the Thai side intensifying attacks with all types and forms of weapons on civilian areas, both by land, sea and air, said the ministry.
