Minister of Culture and Fine Arts Phoung Sakona has issued a chilling spiritual warning to the commanders of “Perfidious Siam”, whose continued assaults on the shared heritage of humanity have raised eyebrows due to their wanton destruction of much-loved monuments.
“Those who destroy heritage properties regarded as the work of the gods will be punished with 32 levels of hell until the end of the moon and the sun. We hope these curses will fall upon those who destroyed the temples that are our national heritage. This is a historical lesson that we will teach to our children and grandchildren,” she said.
She shared the stern warning during the “6th Night of Remembrance and Cultural Fundraising Event” in support of the war heroes and refugees affected by the Thai military assaults, held on December 15, at the Fine Arts Middle School.
