HEINEKEN Cambodia, in partnership with the Oddar Meanchey provincial administration, has officially signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to extend its New Home, New Hope initiative, supporting displaced families impacted by the recent border conflict in Cambodia.

Under the new agreement, HEINEKEN Cambodia will construct 30 new mobile homes for families affected by the border conflict. In addition to the MoU signing, the company also distributed daily essentials to help meet the immediate needs of approximately 300 displaced families who are still residing at a refugee sanctuary in Oddar Meanchey.

The Oddar Meanchey MoU is part of HEINEKEN Cambodia’s wider effort to build 50 mobile homes and 50 repairs across Cambodia for families impacted by the recent border conflict.

The signing ceremony, held in Oddar Meanchey Province, was attended by H.E. Mean Chanyada, the Provincial Governor, senior representatives from HEINEKEN Cambodia, and local authorities. The event took place directly at one of the refugee campsites, where company representatives and government officials met with impacted families to better understand their situation and needs.

“The recent border conflict has deeply affected many Cambodian families who were forced to leave behind not only their homes, but also their sense of security and stability. Through this meaningful partnership with HEINEKEN Cambodia, we are giving these families more than just a roof over their heads — we are helping them regain hope, stability and strength to rebuild their lives. This collaboration is a true example of unity between the public and private sectors, working hand in hand to stand with Cambodians and support them on their journey toward a better future,” said H.E. Mean Chanyada, Oddar Meanchey Governor.

“At HEINEKEN Cambodia, we believe that when a community is affected, it affects us all. As a company that has been deeply rooted in Cambodia for 30 years, we see it as our shared responsibility to stand by the Cambodian people in times of hardship. Through the New Home, New Hope initiative, we aim to bring stability and hope back to families who deserve a safe place to call home. This is not just about building homes — it’s about rebuilding lives, restoring stability, and creating opportunities for families to thrive again. Every new home represents our belief in care for people and planet, as well as brewing the joy of true togetherness — the very values that drive HEINEKEN Cambodia to continue brewing a better future for Cambodia and its people,” said Sophie Goodall, Head of Corporate Affairs of HEINEKEN Cambodia.

The New Home, New Hope initiative is part of HEINEKEN Cambodia’s ongoing commitment to building thriving and resilient communities. Since its launch, the programme has provided 11 homes across Oddar Meanchey, Preah Vihear, Siem Reap, Kampong Thom, Takeo, and Phnom Penh —helping families rebuild their lives with hope, safety and stability.

By working hand-in-hand with provincial authorities and local communities, HEINEKEN Cambodia continues to foster long-term impact and resilience — supporting Cambodians not only in good times, but especially in times when they need help and support the most.
