The Ministry of Public Works and Transport confirmed that the Thai military conducted multiple airstrikes on the Victory Bridge in Pursat province’s Veal Veng district early Saturday morning.
According to ministry spokesman Phan Rim, two Thai F-16 fighter jets carried out multiple bombing runs targeting the bridge at around 6am this morning. They also struck the “old bridge” next to it.
“Thai aircraft have not stopped their bombing activities yet,” Rim said, adding that authorities are monitoring the situation closely.
The Victory Bridge, also known as the Main River Bridge, is a concrete structure built by the Chinese CRBC group in 2018.

Located on National Road 55 at kilometre markers 169+400, the bridge spans 180 metres.
It lies approximately 8.5 kilometres from the border and serves as the most convenient crossing to Thma Da town.
Authorities are currently awaiting clearance from the military to begin repairs, rebuild road connections and restore traffic flow in the area.
The attacks have disrupted a critical transportation route linking local communities and raised concerns over continued access and mobility in the region.
