As of December 10, 2025, nine Cambodian civilians have been killed — including one infant — and 46 injured, by the Thai military, while almost 40,000 families have been displaced, according to a senior Cambodian official.
The official, who asked to remain anonymous, told The Post a short time ago that he believed the Thai military has committed acts of armed aggression against Cambodia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity by utilising heavy weaponry, including the use of fighter aircraft to drop bombs on civilian targets.
“This has caused severe damage. As of December 10, nine civilians have died, including one infant, 46 innocent people have been injured, and 37,115 families are now refugees. That is 127,133 people — including 58,603 women and 21,974 children — across Preah Vihear, Oddar Meanchey, Banteay Meanchey, Pursat and Battambang provinces,” he said.
“Cambodia is currently gathering evidence to file a complaint with the International Criminal Court (ICC), of which Cambodia is a member,” he added.
