Thirty young Cambodians from diverse academic backgrounds have successfully completed the country’s first Techpreneur Bootcamp, a nine-month intensive programme designed to equip them with full stack development skills and entrepreneurial know-how.
A joint initiative by DICHI Academy and the Expert Leadership Innovation Exchange Organization (ELIX), with support from the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, the bootcamp culminated in a graduation ceremony presided over by ministry secretary of state So Visothy, alongside representatives from all participating partners.
“This programme directly supports Cambodia’s national vision to accelerate digital adoption across all sectors,” said Sivhuang, managing director of DICHI Academy.
“By enlarging Cambodia’s pool of specialised technical talent and inspiring youth to pursue tech careers, we are building the foundation for a vibrant, innovative and inclusive digital economy for Cambodia,” she added.

The programme included 56 technical training sessions and 11 industry-led sharing sessions on entrepreneurship.
Over the course of the bootcamp, the students — referred to as Techpreneurs — engaged in four ideation challenges, resulting in 24 prototype solutions to real-world problems posed by the programme’s 13 career partners.
In its final phase, students successfully developed and tested six Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) aimed at addressing industrial needs.
Two of these MVPs were adopted by AMK Microfinance for further development, and 10 graduates have since joined AMK’s internal technical team.

“Our Techpreneurs are now Certified Developers by the US Silicon Valley Program in Full Stack Development,” noted DICHI Academy, marking a milestone achievement for the cohort.
Almost 90 per cent of the graduates are currently employed in technical roles across a range of industries, reinforcing the bootcamp’s goal of bridging the gap between education and industry.
The graduation of this first cohort signals a promising step forward for Cambodia’s growing digital sector and its efforts to nurture homegrown talent in technology and innovation.
