International infrastructure giant VINCI Group, a global leader in managing and operating major airports, has pledged to continue working with Cambodia to promote the country’s tourism potential to the world.

Emmanuel Menanteau, the company’s regional director for the US, Northern and Eastern Europe, and Southeast Asia, met with Minister of Tourism Hout Hak at the tourism ministry headquarters on March 1.

During the discussion, VINCI representatives introduced the company’s new leadership structure and provided updates on recent developments at Sihanoukville International Airport and Techo International Airport.

Both sides exchanged views on the future outlook for Cambodia’s tourism sector and discussed potential areas of cooperation between the ministry, the Cambodia Tourism Board (CTB) and VINCI Group. The discussions focused on developing action plans to promote Cambodia’s tourism potential and attract more international visitors.

Hak expressed his appreciation for VINCI Airports, a subsidiary of VINCI Group, for its active role in developing Cambodia’s aviation sector and supporting the growth of the tourism industry.

He emphasised the importance of strengthening cooperation between the aviation and tourism sectors to enhance international connectivity and promote sustainable and competitive tourism development both regionally and globally.

Both parties agreed to continue working together on tourism promotion strategies and strengthening air connectivity to attract more international travellers to Cambodia.

According to the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SSCA), Cambodia recorded 6.99 million air passengers in 2025, an increase of 12%, while air cargo reached 93,889 tonnes, up 21%. Currently, 36 airlines operate in Cambodia, including four domestic and 32 international carriers, with connections to 18 countries and 46 cities worldwide.
