More than 140,000 young people from vulnerable and at-risk families, including workers from both the informal and formal economies, have applied to enrol in the Technical and Vocational Education and Training program (TVET 1.5M). Among the many fields of study on offer, business and information technology attracted the highest number of applicants. The National Police identified 121 examples of antisocial behaviour during the Kan Ben and Pchum Ben festivals, from September 8 to 23. Most were referred to court for legal action before being sent to detention centres or rehabilitation institutions, according to Touch Sokhak, deputy spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior. More than 7,000 families and over 5,000 hectares of rice fields have been affected by flooding in eight provinces as of today, September 25, while traffic along National Road 76 has been closed to all heavy trucks. According to National Committee for Disaster Management (NCDM) spokesman Soth Kimkolmony, the floods affected 7,500 families, of which 15 have been evacuated to safe places​.
