The Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training is staging multiple large-scale job forums this weekend. Held in Battambang and Banteay Meanchey provinces, they will see nearly 90,000 job opportunities offered, with applications and on-the-spot interviews available.
Ministry spokesperson Sun Mesa said on January 22 that the job forums, themed “Khmer Helping Find Jobs and Providing Jobs for Khmer, will take place at four different locations on January 24 and 25.
Mesa said that the forums aim to bring approximately 87,000 domestic job opportunities to former migrant workers who have returned from Thailand and are currently unemployed.
The Saturday forums will be held at the Bavel district Hall compound in Bavel district, Battambang, and at the Meanchey Park compound in Serei Saophoan town, Banteay Meanchey. On Sunday, they will continue at the Korkoh Lower Secondary School compound in Moung Ruessei District, Battambang, and the Chamkar Ta Dok Market compound in Mongkol Borei district, Banteay Meanchey.
Former migrant workers, youth and other job seekers who attend the forums will receive free transportation, meals and beverages.
Mesa called on former migrant workers in Battambang and Banteay Meanchey provinces not to miss these job forums this weekend.
The ministry noted that further job, social security, and vocational training forums will be held throughout 2026, in multiple provinces, including Banteay Meanchey, Preah Vihear, Oddar Meanchey, Pursat, Battambang, Pailin, Siem Reap, Kampong Thom, Kampong Cham, Kampong Chhnang, Tbong Khmum, Prey Veng, Kratie and Koh Kong.
