The AOKAS Expo will return for the second time on July 25-27, at the Connexion Building on Phnom Penh’s Koh Pich.
This will be the second edition of the event, described in a press release as “Cambodia’s premier Career, Education and Business Expo”.
Hosts OMOHUB and First Solutions have received the support of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training for the three-day event, which is free to the public.
The organisers explained that the expo aims to “inspire students, entrepreneurs, professionals and creatives through innovation, education and creativity”.
The AOKAS Expo will offer four themed zones: Startup & Entrepreneurship, Leadership & Career, Tech & Digital and Creative & Lifestyle, and feature over 100 speakers, including government officials, startup founders, educators and creators.
Attendees will get the chance to can engage in panel discussions and debates, as well as workshops and performances designed to empower Cambodia’s youth.
Day one will focus on the “future of work”, with a keynote address by legal expert Ny Vichet, and a “Classrooms to Careers” panel featuring Veng Sereyvuth and others. The Youth Debate Challenge will showcase talent from 12 universities, alongside workshops on leadership and digital commerce.
The second day will explore the creative economy with a “Viral or Value?” panel featuring Sem Ratana and well-known creators, plus sessions on branding, YouTube building and digital business strategies. Some of the workshops on offer will cover legal frameworks, interview skills and video editing.
The final day will emphasise the importance of resilience among entrepreneurs, with a “Fail Forward” panel sharing founder stories, plus Phoura Y’s journey from cowboy to CEO. Sessions on UX/UI design, public speaking and burnout recovery will culminate in a celebratory closing ceremony with spectacular performances and giveaways.
Networking opportunities are sure to be available throughout the course of the expo, with the chance to learn hands-on skills and explore career development.
