The Royal Government of Cambodia has designated May 12 as the Day of Veterans and Former Civil Servants of Cambodia, with the aim of honouring the heroic bravery and great sacrifices made by Cambodian combatants, veterans and former civil servants for the cause of the nation. The Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) announced plans to deploy 4,100 officials and volunteers to observe this year’s high school diploma exams, scheduled for two days beginning on August 28. The deployment aims to prevent irregularities, including corruption, in the exam process. At least 130 suspected human traffickers were arrested during the first half of 2025, while 278 victims were rescued, according to the National Committee for Counter Trafficking (NCCT).
