The Mekong River Commission (MRC) and the Government of Japan have signed an agreement to support the implementation of the “Project for Strengthening Flood and Drought Risk Management in the Lower Mekong Basin”. The Ministry of Public Works and Transport is conducting consultations on the public’s preferred pricing structure for personalised license plates for motorcycles and scooters. The suggested prices span from as little as 100,000 riel ($25) to 12 million ($3,000). Any recruitment agencies operating outside this framework should be considered illegal and will be subject to legal action.
